National Programs
The primary mission of the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation is to help children, teens and young adults strengthen their Jewish identities and connections by providing funding and technical assistance to national and international initiatives that:
- Deepen commitment to Jewish peoplehood and community;
- Enhance understanding of and connection to Israel;
- Promote Jewish service and tikkun olam; and
- Advance diversity as a chief goal and principal value of Jewish community building.
We carry out our mission through a well-defined grant portfolio that leverages the reach of large-scale programs and organizations to impact broad numbers of Jews and support key aspects of Jewish life, including service, inclusivity and diversity, Jewish learning, and new Jewish culture and innovation. We are also focused on strengthening the understanding and connection between American Jews and the State of Israel through education, exposure to Israeli arts and culture, and advocacy.
