Statement on Jerusalem Terror Attack

January 30, 2023

  • Israel

We join with all who are mourning the loss of seven Israeli lives following the senseless terrorist attack at a synagogue in Jerusalem last Friday night. It was the worst Palestinian terrorist attack in Israel since 2011. The following day, several more attacks were carried out.

We are heartbroken to know that once again a house of worship has been desecrated by horrific violence. The fact that it took place on International Holocaust Remembrance Day only adds to the deep pain and anguish.

We are grateful that our Israel team members have been confirmed safe. We share the sorrow of the families of the victims and send strength to the State of Israel during this difficult hour.

May the memories of the victims be for a blessing. May we know no further bloodshed. We will continue our work to support Israel as a safe, secure homeland for the Jewish people, a thriving democracy and an inclusive society for all its diverse citizens. We hope for a future in which everyone in Israel and the surrounding region can live in peace and security, able to pursue better lives for their families and future generations.
