Selam Yohannes is the Senior Project Manager, Information Technology (IT) Project Management Office for Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies. Selam supports the IT Team through project management, portfolio management, business process analysis, IT training, and IT governance. She leads complex IT projects and supports fellow IT team members in applying IT’s project management framework.

Throughout her career, Selam has worked in the education industry, politics, and communications, holding roles in project management, program implementation, and strategic planning. Before joining Schusterman Family Philanthropies, Selam served as the Managing Director, Strategic Initiatives at Achievement First Charter Schools, where she managed several cross-functional projects, including a successful charter renewal process. Prior to that, she led project management for the development of K-12 assessments and curricular materials.

Selam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park, a Master of Arts in Leadership, Policy, & Politics from Teachers College, Columbia University, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). In her free time, Selam enjoys spending time with family and friends, testing out new recipes, staying active, and traveling.
