Stacy Schusterman is Chair of Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies (SFP), whose mission is to pursue more just and inclusive societies in the United States and Israel.
Stacy’s philanthropic vision is deeply rooted in Jewish values, including the pursuit of justice (tzedek), repairing the world (tikkun olam) and treating all people with dignity and respect (derekh eretz). When Stacy became Chair in 2018, SFP codified a commitment to equity–defined as building societies in which all people have true access to resources and opportunities to realize their full potential–as a core value.
Stacy’s philanthropic priorities include advancing racial, gender and economic equity in the U.S. through investments in Criminal Justice, Democracy and Voting Rights, K12 Education, Gender and Reproductive Equity, and her hometown of Tulsa, OK. She sees access to good jobs, a quality education, economic and reproductive freedom, government representation, as well as ending mass incarceration, as key to building a more equal and just society.
Stacy is also continuing the work her parents, Charles and Lynn Schusterman, began more than 35 years ago to support joyful, diverse Jewish communities committed to inclusive Jewish values, connection to and support for Israel, and making the world a better place. Through Schusterman Family Philanthropies - Israel, she has expanded the family’s investments to support and strengthen Israel as a secure homeland for the Jewish people, a thriving democracy and an inclusive society.
Under Stacy’s leadership, Schusterman Family Philanthropies aims to drive long-term systemic change through a wide range of philanthropic approaches, including investments in leaders, organizations and U.S. public policy. Stacy’s advocacy activities in the U.S. are focused on supporting policies, legislation and elected officials who share her commitment to democracy and advancing racial, gender and economic equity in the United States, as well as to strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship.
In addition to her role as Chair of Schusterman Family Philanthropies, Stacy has extensive business experience, including as CEO of the family’s oil and gas businesses and as Co-founder and Chair of Granite Properties, a commercial real estate business.
Stacy is a graduate of Yale University and has an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. In 2022, Stacy and her mother, Lynn, received the Carnegie Medal of Philanthropy, recognizing the family’s legacy of giving.
