Rella Kaplowitz is a Director of U.S. Jewish Grantmaking at Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies, where she leads grantmaking, strategy development, measurement and learning. Rella ensures the organization has the right insights to inform decision-making and works closely with grantees and partners to strengthen their capacity to achieve their missions.
She is the author of More Than Numbers, Schusterman Family Philanthropies’ guide to using data for impact, and the Data Playbook, an online resource designed to help organizations enhance their use of data for strategic decision-making.
In a volunteer capacity, Rella serves as a peer support counselor for the National Capital Region chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Rella holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, a Certificate in Change Leadership from IDEO and is a Six Sigma Green Belt.
