Terms and Conditions of Application to ROI Programming

Schusterman Family Philanthropies

As used in these Terms and Conditions, the term “Schusterman Family Philanthropies” includes the Charles & Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies; Schusterman Family Philanthropies Israel; ROI Community, Inc., ROI Community (Registered Amuta); the affiliates and partner organizations of any of the above; and all of their respective Boards of Directors, officers, servants, agents, employees, and representatives.

No Warranties

This application form is provided “as is” without any representations or warranties, express or implied. Schusterman Family Philanthropies makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, in relation to this application or any information or materials provided on any Schusterman Family Philanthropies website.  Nothing on any Schusterman Family Philanthropies website constitutes, or is meant to constitute, advice of any kind. If you require advice in relation to any matter you should consult an appropriate professional.

Limitations of liability

Schusterman Family Philanthropies will not be liable to you (whether under the law of contracts, the law of torts, or otherwise) in relation to the contents of, or use of, or otherwise in connection with any Schusterman Family Philanthropies website for any direct, indirect, special, or consequential loss, including any business loss, loss of revenue, income, profits or anticipated savings, loss of contracts or business relationships, loss of reputation or goodwill, or loss or corruption of information or data. Schusterman Family Philanthropies will store all the personal information you provide on its secure servers.  However, Schusterman Family Philanthropies cannot guaranty that your personal information will not be subject to a security breach or otherwise unauthorized access.

Cross-border data transfers. Your personal information may be stored and processed in and transferred between any of the countries in which Schusterman Family Philanthropies operates or retains data service providers to enable the use of the information in accordance with this privacy policy. In addition, personal information that you submit for publication on the website will be published on the internet and may be available around the world. You agree to such cross-border transfers of personal information.

Updating this statement. Schusterman Family Philanthropies may update this privacy policy by posting a new version on this website. You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are familiar with any changes.

Reasonableness. By using this website, you agree that the exclusions and limitations of liability set out in this website disclaimer are reasonable. If you do not think they are reasonable, you must not use this website.

Other parties. You accept that, as a limited liability entity, Schusterman Family Philanthropies has an interest in limiting the personal liability of its officers and employees. You agree that you will not bring any claim personally against Schusterman Family Philanthropies’ officers or employees in respect of any losses you suffer in connection with the website.  Without prejudice to the foregoing paragraph, you agree that the limitations of warranties and liability set out in this website disclaimer will protect Schusterman Family Philanthropies’ officers, employees, agents, subsidiaries, successors, assigns and sub-contractors as well as Schusterman Family Philanthropies.

COVID-19

The conference organizers will endeavor to ensure implementation of the conference in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, for everyone’s safety, but participants confirm that they are aware of the health risks inherent in participating in a conference at this time and do so at their own volition. Throughout the period of the conference, you agree to abide by all local laws, regulations and guidelines that relate to the coronavirus pandemic, including those imposed by the State of Israel and any additional rules determined by the conference organizing team. These laws, regulations, guidelines and rules may change throughout the course of the conference, and you agree to adhere to the updated restrictions and expectations that are conveyed to you by the conference team and the State of Israel. These may include mask-wearing, hand-washing, maintaining physical distance, and the like. Failure to abide by any rules deemed necessary for the safety of conference participants may result in termination of your participation in the conference at your own expense.

In the event that you are infected with COVID-19 as a result of your participation in the conference, you agree not to hold the conference organizers responsible for any damages—direct or indirect, financial, physical, mental, and the like—incurred as a result of your illness. 

The conference organizers reserve the right to change and/or cancel the conference at any point before or during the conference if they determine that such action is necessary or advisable to maintain the safety of participants and staff, and you will not have any complaints in this regard. 

Unenforceable provisions.  If any provision of this document is, or is found to be, unenforceable under applicable law, that will not affect the enforceability of the other provisions hereof.
