Roben is the Chief Communications Officer for Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies, responsible for strategic communications and brand management for the organization’s global network of philanthropic portfolios and initiatives. She works collaboratively with each team and office across the organization to drive a holistic narrative and multimedia strategy designed to amplify Schusterman’s work and impact. Roben oversees a team of communications professionals focused on thought leadership, media relations, messaging and content development, digital engagement and other activities.

Prior to joining Schusterman, Roben worked at Designkitchen, a digital agency, and held positions where she developed content for branding and marketing campaigns. She also has extensive editorial experience, serving both as a writer and editor for local, national and international outlets. Roben believes deeply in the power of communications to help create positive change.

She serves on the board of Ahava Early Learning Center, a Reggio-inspired preschool in the heart of Atlanta, and helped to launch the local Atlanta chapter of the Communications Network. She holds a Master’s of Science degree in Journalism from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
