Regan Kelly supports Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies’ efforts to improve K-12 education across the U.S., with a focus on school systems partnerships and literacy.

Prior to joining Schusterman, Regan served as a Managing Partner at TNTP where she led teams doing academic work across the Southeast with a particular focus on supporting literacy and academic work in Tennessee. She and her teams partnered with over 60 districts across the state and with the state department of education to support literacy through the implementation of high-quality instructional materials, development of academic vision and strategy, training in the science of reading, and the formation of networks across the state. Regan was also the lead on the Tennessee LIFT network - a group of twenty districts across Tennessee that come together to collaborate, learn and problem-solve around literacy with the goal of changing the student experience and achievement.

Regan graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Education with a master’s degree in education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Barnard College, Columbia University. Prior to joining TNTP, Regan was a charter school leader in the South Bronx and Washington, DC, a literacy coach in the Los Angeles Unified School District and designed teacher training content for Teach For America. She began her career teaching elementary school in Compton, California.
