Shana supports Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies’ efforts to improve K-12 education across the U.S., with a focus on school systems partnerships.

Prior to joining Schusterman, Shana worked at Panorama Education, a K-12 partner helping educators act on data to improve student outcomes. Shana previously served as the Director of Budget Strategy at District of Columbia Public schools, where she managed the agency’s annual strategic investment and budget process across central office and schools. At District of Columbia Public Schools, she also helped scale their district-wide professional learning program. She began her career in education as a consultant with Education Resource Strategies, providing strategy and analytics support to large urban school districts across the country. 

Shana holds a master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She earned her bachelor’s degree in economics and urban studies from the University of Toronto.
